Murphy Gets 9.5, Gordon With 7.5 | Newcastle United Players Rated In Dominant Win Vs Crystal Palace

Newcastle United welcomed Crystal Palace at St. James’ Park earlier today as they looked to grab all three points on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies made a great start to the game as they scored the opening goal in the fourth-minute when Jacob Murphy got his name on the scoresheet. Anthony Gordon doubled the home team’s advantage in the 44th minute before Sean Longstaff made it 3-0 to Newcastle in the first half injury-time. Eddie Howe’s men went into the half-time interval 3-0 up on the scoreline.

Callum Wilson added another goal in the 66th minute as the Tyneside club cruised to a dominant 4-0 win at St. James’ Park.

Trippier made two key chance in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

He cleared the danger when the opposition were on the front foot. Lascelles was a strong presence in the air as well.

CB: Fabian Schar – 7/10

Schar kept things solid at the back and won a couple of aerial duels as well.

LB: Dan Burn – 7/10

Burn didn’t do much wrong when defending inside his half.

CM: Sean Longstaff – 7.5/10

The English talent had a few lively moments in the game and managed to score in the dying embers of the first half.

CM: Bruno Guimaraes – 7.5/10

Guimaraes made a few decent runs with the ball and was replaced in the 68th minute.

CM: Joelinton – 7/10

He did his fair share of defending but didn’t offer much in the final third.

RW: Jacob Murphy – 9.5/10

Murphy arguably had his best game at Newcastle. He scored a goal and bagged a couple of assists which makes him worthy of the man of the match award.

ST: Callum Wilson – 7.5/10

The English talent caused some headaches for the Palace defenders and got his name on the scoresheet in the 66th minute.

LW: Anthony Gordon – 7.5/10

Gordan had a few bright moments in the game and deserves credit for registering a goal in the 44th minute.
