Aston Villa welcomed West Ham United at Villa Park earlier today as they looked to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead at the half-hour mark when Douglas Luiz found the back of the net. The West Midlands club went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Luiz doubled the home team’s advantage from the penalty spot in the 51st minute. However, Jarrod Bowen pulled a goal back for West Ham just five minutes later. Ollie Watkins killed the game off in the 74th minute before Leon Bailey added another goal late in the game. The contest finished with Aston Villa securing an impressive 4-1 win in front of their home fans.

The French full-back made a lot of important clearances at the back but struggled to influence the game in the final third.

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

Kamara did his fair share of defending and had a good game in the opponent’s half.
CM: Douglas Luiz – 9/10
The Brazilian midfielder managed to score in both halves and anchored the midfield with conviction.
LM: Nicolo Zaniolo – 6.5/10
He made two promising runs with the ball but failed to register a goal.
ST: Moussa Diaby – 7/10
Diaby made a few decent chances for others around him but failed to find the back of the net.
ST: Ollie Watkins – 8.5/10
The English striker was a real threat in the final third and ended the game with a goal and an assist to his name.
