Isak Gets 9, Trippier With 7.5 | Newcastle United Players Rated In Entertaining Draw Vs West Ham

Newcastle United locked horns with West Ham United at the London Stadium earlier today as they looked to earn a good result away from home. The Magpies made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the eighth minute when Tomas Soucek found the back of the net. The Tyneside club failed to mount a comeback and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Alexander Isak turned the game on its head as he scored two quick-fire goals for Newcastle. However, the Hammers managed to score a late equaliser when Mohammed Kudus got his name on the scoresheet. The contest ended with Eddie Howe’s men being held to a 2-2 draw on the road.

Let’s take a look at how each Newcastle United player fared during the clash against the Hammers.

GK: Nick Pope – 6/10

Pope made one good save during the game and will be disappointed after conceding twice this afternoon.

RB: Kieran Trippier – 7.5/10

Trippier managed to engineer a few promising chances for his teammates up top.

CB: Jamaal Lascelles – 6.5/10

He did his best to keep things solid at the back. Lascelles was a dominant presence in the air as well.

CB: Fabian Schar – 6.5/10

Schar put his foot through the ball when the opposition were on the front foot. However, he won’t be happy about conceding twice during the game.
