Everton faced off against West Ham United at Goodison Park earlier today as they focused on grinding out a good result on the road. The Toffees kept things solid in the first half and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave Everton the lead in the 51st minute as the Merseyside club hung on to their narrow advantage and secured a 1-0 win away from home.

The English defender made a lot of crucial clearances inside his half and won his fair share of aerial duels as well.
LB: Vitaliy Mykolenko – 7.5/10
Mykolenko gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and made one good chance in the opponent’s half.
RW: James Harrison – 6.5/10
He had a few promising moments in the final third and picked up an assist for setting up Calvert-Lewin’s match-winner.
CM: James Garner – 7/10
Garner anchored the midfield with conviction and was accurate with his ball distribution.
CM: Amadou Onana – 7.5/10
Onana got stuck in with a few solid tackles and had some lively moments in the final third.
LW: Dwight McNeil – 8/10
He was a constant menace in the West Ham half but there was no goal for him.
CAM: Abdoulaye Doucoure – 6/10
Doucoure worked his socks off but failed to threaten the opponent’s goal.
ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 8/10
The English striker caused some problems for the opposition defenders and scored the only goal of the game early in the second half.
