At the Goodison Park on Saturday, Everton and Bournemouth, both dealing with early-season challenges, will go head-to-head. Sean Dyche’s team recently endured a 2-1 defeat against newly-promoted Luton Town, while the Cherries faced a ruthless Arsenal side and were handed a comprehensive 4-0 loss.
Sean Dyche will set his players up in a 4-4-2 formation and will name a strong first XI for this game. Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will form a two-man strike team to spearhead the attack for the Toffees this weekend.
4-4-2 Everton Predicted XI Vs Bournemouth
Defence
Jordan Pickford will function in between the sticks for the Merseyside club after shipping in two goals in his last outing. James Tarkwoski will operate alongside Jarrad Branthwaite at the centre of Everton’s backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Nathan Patterson will fill in as the right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko, who is still recovering from a knock, looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would need to be compact defensively and get forward to create more chances from the wide areas.
Michael Keane will provide cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.
Midfield
Amadou Onana and Abdoulaye Doucoure will anchor the midfield for the home team as they try to make life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park.
Dwight McNeil will look to stretch the pitch on the left flank while Jack Harrison remains focused on giving a good account of himself as the right-winger.
James Garner will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the second half if needed.
Attack
Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will lead the charge for the Merseyside club up top. They will have to figure out a way to be more clinical in front of the opposition goal to secure a victory in this home encounter.
Arnaut Danjuma will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if needed.
