In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Brighton and Hove Albion forward Julio Enciso is on the radar of Napoli this summer. It has been claimed that the Naples outfit are eyeing a move a move to sign the Paraguayan talent from the Seagulls next year.
Enciso’s Impressive Rise In English Football Recently
Enciso has played a sporadic role for Brighton this season as he has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot in Roberto De Zerbi’s first XI. The 19-year-old has only made two appearances for the Seagulls during this campaign, securing a couple of assists in the process across multiple competitions.
The South American sensation has caught the eye at times with his performances for Brighton on the attacking end of the pitch.
His current contract at the American Express Community Stadium is set to run out in the summer of 2026. Hence, there is no immediate need for Brighton to let him go next year.
Can Brighton Head Coach Roberto De Zerbi Afford To Let Enciso Leave?
Enciso is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create a few inviting chances for others around him on the offensive end of the pitch.
The Paraguayan talent can even use his quickness to make a few driving runs with the ball in and around the opposition penalty box. He is primarily a centre-forward but can also function as a left-sided wide player if told to do so by his manager.
Enciso is on the verge of breaking into De Zerbi’s first XI at the moment. Hence, it makes no sense for the Seagulls to cash in on him next year.
Plus, Enciso could have a great resale value in the future. Hence, Brighton simply cannot afford to let him go this January as he could help them push for European football once again in the Premier League this season. The Seagulls would be better off keeping hold of the South American forward for the long run as he has the potential to become a future star at the American Express Community Stadium.
