West Ham United will clash heads with Olympiacos at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium this Thursday evening as they look to earn a good result on the road in the UEFA Europa League. The Hammers suffered a disappointing 4-1 loss away at Aston Villa recently. Hence, we can expect them to be eager to bounce back with a positive result in midweek.
David Moyes will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could make a few changes to his first team for this game. Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and Lukasz Fabianski will all play from the start of this contest against the Greek outfit.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Olympiacos
Defence
Lukasz Fabianski will operate in between the sticks for the Hammers as he looks to keep a clean sheet away from home. Nayef Aguerd will play alongside Konstantinos Mavropanos at the centre of Moyes’ defence as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the game.
Vladimir Coufal will fill in as the right-back while Thilo Kehrer hopes to give a good account of himself on the other flank as a makeshift left-back.
Midfield
James Ward-Prowse and Tomas Soucek will focus on anchoring the midfield with conviction as they look to make life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Pablo Fornals, Mohammed Kudus and Said Benrahma will play just ahead of them as part of Moyes’ attack. All three of them need to combine with each other well if West Ham are to come out on top this week.
Edson Alvarez and Jarrod Bowen will be rested on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Michail Antonio will lead the charge for the East London club in the final third. He has to find a way to threaten the opposition goal during the 90 minutes.
Danny Ings will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if told to do so.
