Liverpool will entertain Toulouse at Anfield this Thursday night as they look to earn a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to earn a 2-0 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby last weekend, so they will be full of confidence ahead of this game.
Jurgen Klopp will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation once again and might be inclined to make a few changes to his first XI for this game. Darwin Nunez is expected to lead the line for the Merseyside giants in the final third.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Toulouse
Defence
Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Reds after securing a clean sheet in his last league outing. Virgil Van Dijk will function alongside Joel Matip at the heart of Liverpool’s backline as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the 90 minutes.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will operate as the right-back while Kostas Tsimikas hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to express themselves in the opponent’s half and offer enough support to the front players.
Joe Gomez will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo and Curtis Jones will make up Liverpool’s midfield as they focus on dominating the ball at the centre of the park. All three of them would have to find a way to create some decent chances in the Toulouse half.
Alexis Mac Allister and Harvey Elliott will be rested on the bench as they wait to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Luis Diaz will try to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Mohamed Salah looks to make a difference from the right wing. The Egyptian talent scored both of his team’s goals in the Merseyside derby win over Everton recently which will keep him in high spirits ahead of this midweek clash in Europe.
Darwin Nunez will spearhead Klopp’s attack up top. He would be eager to find the back of the net against the French outfit this Thursday night.
Diogo Jota will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if asked to do so.
