Arsenal will face off against West Ham United at the London Stadium this Wednesday night as they hope to secure all three points on the road in the EFL Cup. The Gunners managed to earn a dominant 5-0 win over Sheffield United recently which will give them a lot of confidence ahead of this London derby.
Mikel Arteta will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and could be inclined to name a strong first XI for this game. We can expect to see both Leandro Trossard and Reiss Nelson play from the start of this clash in East London.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup To Face West Ham United
Defence
Aaron Ramsdale will get a chance to play from the start of this game as Arteta hands David Raya a rest on the bench. Gabriel will operate alongside Jakub Kiwior at the centre of Arsenal’s defence as they try to keep the opposition frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.
Ben White will function as the right-back while Takehiro Tomiyasu hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be keen on getting forward and joining in on the attack at every chance they get.
William Saliba will be rested on the bench and will offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Arteta is expected to opt for a midfield three of Kai Havertz, Jorginho and Fabio Vieira. All three of them will be instructed to move the ball well and create some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Martin Odegaard and Mohamed Elneny will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Leandro Trossard will try to catch the eye on the left-wing while Reiss Nelson looks to make a difference on the right flank. Eddie Nketiah will once again lead the charge for the North London club after scoring a hattrick against the Blades last weekend.
Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the derby if Arsenal are in need of a goal by then.
