Arsenal will lock horns with Lens at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis this Tuesday night as they hope to secure a win on the road in the UEFA Champions League. The Gunners managed to earn a dominant 4-0 win over Bournemouth recently which will keep them in good spirits ahead of this clash in Europe.
Mikel Arteta will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and could name a strong first team for this game. Jorginho might get a chance to play from the start of this game while Declan Rice gets a rest on the bench.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup To Face Lens
Defence
David Raya will function in goal for the Gunners after securing a comfortable clean sheet in his last outing. Gabriel will continue to operate alongside William Saliba at the centre of Arsenal’s backline as they try to keep things tidy at the back during the 90 minutes.
Ben White will look to put in a good display as the right-back while Oleksandr Zinchenko gets another chance to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would get the license to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Takehiro Tomiyasu will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Kai Havertz, Jorginho and Martin Odegaard will make up Arteta’s midfield. All three of them would focus on establishing their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.
Odegaard will have to carry most of the creative burden for the Gunners in midweek.
Fabio Vieira and Declan Rice will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if Arteta opts to call upon their services.
Attack
Gabriel Jesus will look to put his pace to good use on the left wing while Bukayo Saka hopes to weave his magic from the right flank.
Eddie Nketiah will lead the line for the North London club up top. He has to find a way to cause a few problems for the home team this Tuesday night.
Leandro Trossard will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if required.
