In a recent report, Il Bianconero stated that West Ham United could be offered a chance to land Juventus winger Filip Kostic. It has been revealed that Juve is open to cashing in on the Serbian wide player which might invite the Hammers to sign him this January.
Kostic’s Recent Struggles At The Allianz Stadium
Kostic has endured a difficult start to this campaign as he has struggled to earn regular playing opportunities for the Turin outfit in Serie A. The 30-year-old has only made two appearances for Juventus this season in league football.
The Serbian sensation served as a useful player at the Allianz Stadium last season when he participated in 37 matches for the Turin club, scoring three goals and grabbing eight assists in Serie A.
His current deal at Juventus will run out in the summer of 2026. Hence, West Ham will have to launch a good offer if they want to lure Kostic to the London Stadium this winter.
Will Kostic Be A Good Choice For West Ham United Boss David Moyes?
Kostic can shoot the ball with venom and accuracy from long range. He is a decent dribbler with the ball as well and can create a few inviting chances for his teammates from the left flank. The Serbian talent can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals when he is playing regularly on the pitch.
However, Kostic is not guaranteed a regular starting spot at Juventus and could benefit from sealing a move to a club like West Ham where he would have a good chance of earning regular playing time in the coming seasons.
Kostic will add more depth to David Moyes’ squad and could help the Hammers compete across all fronts over the next few years.
At 30, Kostic has still got a few good seasons left in him to play at his best. Hence, he would be a good, short-term choice for the East London outfit to consider when the transfer window commences at the start of next year. However, only time will tell whether Kosic can adapt to the physicality and high intensity of English football if the Hammers decide to snap him up in 2024.
