Aston Villa entertained Brighton and Hove Albion at Villa Park earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 14th minute thanks to Ollie Watkins’ efforts. Watkins doubled his team’s advantage just seven minutes later before Pervis Estupinan scored an unfortunate own goal. Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time break 3-0 up on the scorleine.
Ansu Fati got a goal back for the Seagulls in the 50th minute. However, Watkins completed his hattrick in the 65th minute before Jacob Murphy got his name on the scoresheet in the 85th minute. Douglas Luiz ended up scoring another goal in injury-time as the Villans cruised to a dominant 6-1 win at Villa Park.

The Brazilian offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and ended up netting his team’s sixth goal in injury-time.
RW: John McGinn – 8/10
McGinn made a few inviting chances for his teammates and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CAM: Moussa Diaby – 7.5/10
He caused all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders and has got an assist to his name as well.
LW: Nicolo Zaniolo – 6.5/10
Zaniolo threatened the opponent’s goal at times but lacked quality in the final third.
ST: Ollie Watkins – 10/10
Watkins was simply unstoppable today as he scored a memorable hattrick to make the difference for his team.
