Liverpool will face off against LASK at the Raiffeisen Arena this Thursday evening as they try to secure a positive result on the road in the UEFA Europa League. The Reds managed to earn an impressive 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers recently which will keep them in good spirits ahead of this European showdown in Austria.
Jurgen Klopp will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first XI for this game. Virgil Van Dijk, Ben Doak, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo will all play from the start of this clash in the Europa League.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face LASK
Defence
Caoimhín Kelleher will function in between the sticks for the Reds as he looks to earn a clean sheet away from home. Virgil Van Dijk will play alongside Jarell Quansah at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they try to keep the home side frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.
Joe Gomez will once again fill in as the right-back in the injury absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold. Kostas Tsimikas could get a chance to impress on the other side as the left-back.
Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip will offer cover for the centre-half positions on the bench.
Midfield
Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo and Harvey Elliott will operate as Klopp’s primary central midfielders as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them have to move the ball well if they want to create enough chances for Liverpool to earn a convincing win this Thursday evening.
Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Luis Diaz will try to catch the eye as the left-winger while Ben Doak would look to put his pace to good use on the right flank.
Diogo Jota will spearhead the Merseyside club’s attack up top. The Portuguese talent will have to carry most of the goal-scoring workload for his team as Mohamed Salah is expected to get a rest on the bench in this game.
