Vuskovic’s Impressive Rise In Croat Football
Vuskovic joined Hajduk Split’s youth set-up at a very young age before coming through the Croat club’s ranks. He managed to break out as a first-team starter for them earlier this year.
The Croat centre-half has caught the eye with his performances for Hajduk’s senior team. The gifted youngster has been involved in 11 senior matches for them, finding the back of the net on one occasion for them on all fronts.
The 16-year-old is under contract at the Croat club until the summer of 2026. Thus, Spurs will do well to win the race to secure his services this year.
Tottenham Hotspur Are On The Brink Of Signing Vuskovic: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Vuskovic is a solid tackler of the ball and can sense the danger quickly to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and can use his towering 1.93m frame to dominate the opposition in the air. Vuskovic can play in both centre-back positions but needs to find a way to improve his decision-making on the defensive end of the field.
The Croat defensive ace excels at playing his way out from the back. At 16, he has already tasted first-team football back in his homeland. However, Vuskovic is still quite raw and would need time before he can prove his worth in the Premier League if Tottenham end up recruiting him soon.
Still, there is no denying that he will be a great long-term signing for the North London club. He has got the physical skillset to excel for Spurs in English football over the next decade.
Vuskovic is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the coming seasons. Hence, Tottenham boss Angelos Postecoglu deserves a ton of credit if he does end up getting a deal over the line for the talented whizkid this month.
