Real Madrid will welcome Union Berlin at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium this Wednesday evening as they look to secure a win in the UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos managed to earn a hard-fought 2-1 win over Real Sociedad which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this European contest.
Carlo Ancelotti will set his side up in a 4-4-2 formation and could make a couple of tweaks to his first XI for this game. Both Luka Modric and Eduardo Camavinga will get a chance to play from the start of this match while Toni Kroos and Aurelien Tchouameni make way for them and drop to the bench.
4-4-2 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Union Berlin
Defence
Kepa Arrizabalaga will feature in goal for Los Blancos after conceding one goal in his last appearance. Antonio Rudiger will play alongside David Alaba at the centre of Ancelotti’s defence as they try to keep the visitors quiet during the game.
Dani Carvajal will get the nod to impress as the right-back while Fran Garcia looks to give a good account of himself as the left-back. Ancelotti will give both of his full-backs the license to get forward and express themselves in the opposition half.
Nacho will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Eduardo Camavinga will anchor the midfield for Real Madrid while Federico Valverde and Luka Modric operate as the box-to-box midfielders. All three of them need to move the ball well if Los Blancos are to come out on top in midweek.
Jude Bellingham will operate in the number ten position and is expected to carry most of the creative workload for the home side this Wednesday.
Toni Kroos and Aurelien Tchouameni will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Rodrygo and Joselu will lead the charge for Los Blancos up top. Joselu managed to find the back of the net versus Real Sociedad which should give him a lot of confidence ahead of this game.
Brahim Diaz will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Real Madrid are in need of a goal by then.
