Barcelona will welcome Royal Antwerp at the Nou Camp this Tuesday night as they look to earn a positive result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Catalan club managed to secure a dominant 5-0 win over Real Betis recently, so they will be confident about securing another victory in midweek.
Xavi will opt for a 4-3-3 formation once again and could make a couple of changes to his first XI for this game. Both Ilkay Gundogan and Lamine Yamal will get a chance to play from the start of this contest.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Royal Antwerp
Defence
Marc-André ter Stegen will play in between the sticks for the Catalan giants after keeping a clean sheet in his last appearance. Jules Kounde will resume his partnership with Andreas Christensen at the heart of Xavi’s defence as they look to keep things tidy at the back throughout the 90 minutes.
Joao Cancelo will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Alejandro Balde hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to impress and give a good account of themselves in the opponent’s half.
Marcos Alonso will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Ilkay Gundogan, Frenkie de Jong and Gavi will make up Xavi’s midfield. All three of them need to move the ball well so that they can engineer enough chances for Barca to win this Champions League clash.
Oriol Romeu will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come to make an impact in the latter stages if required.
Attack
Joao Felix would get another opportunity to make a difference for Barcelona on the left flank. Lamine Yamal would try to prove his worth as the right-sided wide player.
Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the Catalan outfit on the attacking end of the pitch. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet after a productive showing versus Real Betis recently.
Raphinha will make up the numbers on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if Barca are in need of a goal by then.
