Manchester United welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford earlier today as they looked to earn a good result in front of their home supporters. The Red Devils made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 20th minute when Danny Welbeck found the back of the net. Erik ten Hag’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Pascal Gross doubled Brighton’s lead in the 53rd minute before Joao Pedro killed the game off with a great strike in the 71st minute. Hannibal Mejbri scored a consolation goal for the home team just two minutes later. However, the match ended with Man United suffering a poor 3-1 loss at the Theatre of Dreams.
