Everton will entertain Luton Town at Goodison Park this Saturday afternoon as they look to grab maximum points at home in the Premier League. The Toffees earned a hard-fought 2-1 win over Aston Villa recently which should give them some confidence going into this league clash at Merseyside.
Sean Dyche will set his players up in a 4-4-1-1 formation and will name his strongest XI for this game. Beto is expected to spearhead Everton’s attack up top while Dominic Calvert-Lewin makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-4-1-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Luton Town
Defence
Jordan Pickford will function in between the sticks for the Merseyside club after shipping in one goal in his last outing. James Tarkwoski will operate alongside Jarrd Branthwaite at the centre of Everton’s backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Ashley Young will fill in as the right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko, who is still recovering from a knock, looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would need to be more adventurous than usual so that they can offer enough support to the front players.
Michael Keane will provide cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.
Midfield
Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye will anchor the midfield for the home team as they try to make life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park.
Dwight McNeil will look to stretch the pitch on the left flank while James Garner focused on giving a good account of himself as the right-winger.
Abdoulaye Doucoure will be given the responsibility to play in the number ten position. He would be eager to cause some problems for the Luton centre-backs.
Jack Harrison will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the second half if needed.
Attack
Beto will lead the charge for the Merseyside club up top. He has to figure out a way to be more clinical in front of the opposition goal.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if needed.
