Arsenal will entertain Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening as they look to grab all three points in the North London derby. The Gunners secured a dominant 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven recently which will give them a ton of confidence going into this Premier League clash at home.
Mikel Arteta will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation once again and could make some changes to his first team for this derby. Aaron Ramsdale and Fabio Vieira are both expected to play from the start while David Raya and Kai Havertz make way for them and drop to the bench.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup To Face Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Aaron Ramsdale will feature in between the sticks for Arsenal after being rested in midweek. William Saliba will continue to function alongside Gabriel at the centre of Arteta’s defence. Their main focus would be to keep the Tottenham attackers quiet throughout the 90 minutes.
Ben White will fill in as the right-back while Oleksandr Zinchenko hopes to put in a good display as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Takehiro Tomiyasu will provide cover for the full-back positions on the bench.
Midfield
Fabio Vieira, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard will be named as Arsenal’s central midfielders as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if the Gunners are to come out on top in this North London derby.
Kai Havertz will have to be content with a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Leandro Trossard will operate as the left-sided wide player while Bukayo Saka hopes to put his pace to good use on the right flank. Arteta will instruct both of them to get in behind the Tottenham backline at every chance they get.
Gabriel Jesus will lead the line for Arsenal on the attacking end of the field. The Brazilian striker got his name on the scoresheet versus PSV which will give him a lot of confidence ahead of this exciting clash at the Emirates.
Eddie Nketiah will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages if Arteta opts to call upon his services.
