West Ham United will entertain Sheffield United at the London Stadium this Saturday as they try to secure a win in front of their home fans. The Hammers managed to secure a 1-0 victory over Lincoln City in the EFL Cup recently. Hence, they will go into this game with a lot of confidence and might fancy their chances of securing the victory this weekend.
David Moyes will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and could name a strong first team for this game. Michail Antonio will lead the line for West Ham in the final third.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Sheffield United
Defence
Alphonso Areola will feature in goal for West Ham after being rested in midweek. Kurt Zouma could get another chance to play alongside Nayef Aguerd at the heart of Moyes’ defence as they try to keep the Sheffield attackers quiet during the game.
Vladimir Coufal will get a chance to shine as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri hopes to prove his worth as the left-back. Moyes will instruct both of them to defend their lines well and offer some decent support to the front players.
Ben Johnson will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Tomas Soucek and Edson Alvarez will anchor the midfield for the Hammers as they try to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park.
The gifted trio of Lucas Paqueta, James Ward-Prowse and Jarrod Bowen will play just ahead of them as part of the West Ham attack.
Pablo Fornals and Mohammed Kudus have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if told to do so.
Attack
Michail Antonio will spearhead the West Ham attack once again in the final third. He will be Moyes’ best hope for a goal this weekend.
Danny Ings will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to add more firepower in the final quarter if needed.
