Manchester United will welcome Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss at the hands of Arsenal before the international break which has halted their momentum ahead of this game.
Erik ten Hag will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could make some changes to his first XI for this clash. Rasmus Hojlund could get a chance to lead the line for Man United up top.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton
Defence
Andre Onana will operate in between the sticks for the Mancunian club after shipping in three goals in his last league appearance. Victor Lindelof will partner Harry Maguire at the centre of Man United’s backline as they try to keep things tidy at the back during the 90 minutes.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will operate as the right-back while Diogo Dalot looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them need to perform their defensive duties well so that they can restrict the opposition from causing problems from the wide areas.
Jonny Evans will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Scott McTominay and Casemiro will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on stopping the Brighton players from dominating possession at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Marcus Rashford, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes will play just ahead of them as part of Man United’s attack. All three of them need to link up with each other well in the final third if the Red Devils are to come out on top this weekend.
Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Pellistri will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if ten Hag opts to call upon their services.
Attack
Rasmus Hojlund is expected to spearhead ten Hag’s attack on his own up top. He would be eager to impress after missing most of this campaign so far due to injury.
