Manchester United will face off against Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Saturday as they look to grab all three points on the road in the Premier League. The Red Devils managed to grind out a 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
Erik ten Hag will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to name a strong first team for this clash. Jadon Sancho will probably get a chance to lead the line for Man United in the final third while Alejandro Garnacho makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Andre Onana will function in goal for the Red Devils after keeping a clean sheet in his last league outing. Raphael Varane will resume his defensive partnership with Lisandro Martinez at the centre of ten Hag’s defence as they try to keep the Tottenham attackers quiet during the game.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will look to put in another solid showing as the right-back while Luke Shaw fills in on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to pick and choose their moments to get forward.
Victor Lindelof will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Mason Mount will operate alongside Casemiro in the holding midfield positions as they look to make life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park.
The gifted trio of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Antony will play just ahead of them as part of Man United’s attack. Both Rashford and Antony will be instructed to get in behind the Tottenham backline at every chance they get this weekend.
Christian Eriksen and Facundo Pellistri will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if ten Hag opts to call upon their services.
Attack
Jadon Sancho will spearhead Man United’s attack in the final third. He has to find a way to cause a few problems for the Tottenham defenders during the 90 minutes.
Anthony Martial will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if needed.
