In a recent report, UOL revealed that Real Madrid playmaker Reinier is gathering interest from Greece this month. It is understood that PAOK are hoping to sign the Brazilian talent from Los Blancos before the end of this transfer window.
Reinier’s Impressive Loan Spell In Spanish Football
The 21-year-old enjoyed a decent loan spell at Girona last season when he put in a few eye-catching displays for them in the final third. Reinier found the back of the net on two occasions and secured one assist in 18 appearances for the Spanish outfit in the previous campaign across all fronts.
The Brazilian youngster saw most of his game time come off the bench which explains why he only averaged 0.5 shots, 0.4 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. However, he was excellent when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half based on his pass completion rate of 80.7% in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will run out in the summer of 2026. Hence, there is no immediate need for Real Madrid to sign him in this ongoing transfer window.
Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Cash In On Reinier This Summer?
Reinier is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. The Brazilian whizkid has got the vision to engineer a few promising chances for his teammates and is a decent dribbler with the ball as well when he is playing with confidence on the field. Reinier is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also function as a winger on either flank if told to do so.
However, the Brazilian prospect has failed to make himself a useful member of Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti‘s first XI. Thus, it is only logical for the youngster to seek a move elsewhere in search of more game time this season. At 21, he has still got a bright future ahead of him.
With all things considered, Los Blancos should look to loan him out once again this month. Reinier is still under a long-term contract at the Madrid club, so Ancelotti would be wise not to sell him permanently before the end of this summer transfer period.
