Barella enjoyed a solid campaign at the Milan club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of impressive displays at the centre of the park. The 26-year-old registered nine goals and ten assists in 52 matches for Inter last season across multiple competitions.
The Cagliari-born talent deserves a ton of credit for averaging 0.9 shots, 1.6 key passes and 1.1 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A. He was even excellent when distributing the ball from midfield after completing 85% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
