In a recent report, Tuttojuve claimed that Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic. It has been stated that the Madrid giants are showing interest in recruiting the Serbian talent this month.
Vlahovic’s Impressive Numbers In Italian Football Last Season
Vlahovic enjoyed a decent season at the Turin club recently and did well to put in a run of productive performances as the spearhead of their attack. The 23-year-old found the back of the net 14 times and earned four assists in 42 matches for Juventus in the previous campaign across all fronts.
The Serbian sensation has led the line well for Juve and deserves some credit for averaging 2.5 shots, 0.8 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A football. However, he needs to find a way to improve his ball distribution after making only 72.1% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Italian football (stats via whoscored).
His current deal at the Italian club will expire in the summer of 2026. Thus, Los Blancos will have to make a good offer if they want to get him on board before the end of this transfer window.
Is Vlahovic A Good Option For Real Madrid?
Vlahovic can engineer a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in on-target. The Serbian sensation can be a good finisher in front of the opponent’s goal when he is playing well on the pitch. However, as mentioned earlier, Vlahovic has to find a way to improve his link-up play on the attacking third of the pitch. Still, the pros outweigh the cons of recruiting him as Los Blancos are in dire need of a new striker.
We can expect Vlahovic to bring more firepower to Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s frontline. He might serve as an ideal centre-forward for Los Blancos this season.
At 23, the future is quite bright for Vlahovic as long as he continues to improve with each season. Therefore, he could prove to be a decent option for the Madrid giants to consider during this summer transfer period. However, only time will tell whether the Serbian talent has what it takes to make a smooth transition to life in La Liga if Real Madrid manage to sign him this month.
