Everton will welcome Fulham at Goodison Park this Saturday afternoon as they look to begin this Premier League season with a win in front of their home fans. The Toffees found themselves in a relegation dogfight last season, so they would be eager to right the wrongs by making a positive start to this campaign.
Sean Dyche will set his men up in a 4-5-1 formation and could name a strong team for this contest. However, the Merseyside club would be sweating on the fitness of James Tarkowski, who is a major doubt for this game.
4-5-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Fulham
Defence
Jordan Pickford will function in between the sticks for the Toffees as he looks to secure a clean sheet at home. Michael Keane will play alongside James Tarkowski at the centre of Everton’s defence as they look to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.
Nathan Patterson will function as the right-back while Ashley Young hopes to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to put on a good defensive display out on the flanks.
Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey will be available for selection on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Amadou Onana, Idrissa Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucoure will operate as the holding midfielders as they try to make life difficult for the Fulham players at the centre of the park.
James Garner could get a chance to impress on the right flank. Alex Iwobi would be eager to put his pace to good use on the left wing. Both of them would have to work hard at both ends of the field if Everton are to come out on top this weekend.
Andre Gomes will be named on the bench as he waits for his opportunity to make an impact in the second half if asked to do so.
Attack
Neal Maupay will lead the charge for the Toffees in the final third. He will have to figure out a way to be a potent threat in front of the Fulham goal.
Demarai Gray will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on in the latter stages if Everton are in need of a goal by then.
