In a recent report, The Athletic mentioned that Everton are set to sign Leeds United star Jack Harrison on loan. It has been claimed that the Toffees are close to recruiting the English talent who is undergoing a medical ahead of a loan move this summer.
Harrison’s Impressive Form At Elland Road Last Season
Harrison enjoyed a productive season at Leeds but failed to help them avoid relegation from the Premier League. The 26-year-old deserves a ton of credit for scoring six goals and earning ten assists in 40 matches for the Whites in the previous campaign across all competitions.
The English sensation was a reliable presence in the final third based on his average of 1.1 shots, 1.5 key passes and 1.3 dribbles per game in the Premier League. However, he lacked quality when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half after making only 71% of his attempted passes in the English top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the West Yorkshire club will run out in the summer of 2028. Thus, the Toffees have no choice but to try and sign Harrison on loan this month.
What Will Harrison Add To Everton Boss Sean Dyche’s Team?
Harrison has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates to score and can strike the ball with venom and accuracy from long range.
The English talent has proven himself to be a consistent performer in the Premier League. Thus, he would be an excellent acquisition for the Toffees to pull off in this transfer window.
We can expect Harrison to add more quality and depth to Everton boss Sean Dyche‘s attack. All in all, the Merseyside club would be wise to get him on board before the end of this transfer period.
