Everton will face off against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday as they look to secure a positive result on the road in the Premier League. The Toffees suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Fulham recently, so they would be eager to come away with a win this weekend.
Sean Dyche will set his men up in a 4-5-1 formation and could make one change to his first XI for this game. Dominic Calvert-Lewin will get a chance to lead the line for the Merseyside club in the final third.
4-5-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Aston Villa
Defence
Jordan Pickford will feature in goal for Everton after conceding one goal in his last league outing. Michael Keane will operate alongside James Tarkowski at the heart of Everton’s backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Nathan Patterson will function as the right-back while Ashley Young looks to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to perform their defensive duties well so that they can limit the chances the home side create from the wide areas.
Ben Godfrey will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Andre Onana, Idrissa Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucoure will make up Dyche’s midfield as they try to make life tough for the Villans at the centre of the park.
James Garner will hope to give a good account of himself on the right flank while Alex Iwobi hopes to put his pace to good use and make a difference as the left-sided wide player.
Andre Gomes will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed. However, Dwight McNeil will be sidelined for this clash due to injury.
Attack
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will spearhead Everton’s attack on his own up top. He would be eager to impress after missing the season opener versus Fulham.
Arnaut Danjuma will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if the Toffees are in need of a goal by then.
