West Ham United will clash heads with Luton Town at Kenilworth Road this Friday night as they look to secure all three points on the road in the Premier League. The Hammers managed to earn an impressive 3-1 win away at Brighton and Hove Albion recently which will give them a lot of confidence ahead of this game.
David Moyes will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one change to his first XI for this game. Said Benrahma will get a chance to play from the start of this game as Tomas Soucek is a major concern due to a head injury.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Luton Town
Defence
Alphonso Areola will continue to feature in goal for the Hammers after shipping in one goal in his last league outing. Angelo Ogbonna will play alongside Kurt Zouma at the centre of West Ham’s defence as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Emerson Palmieri will get another chance to impress as the left-back while Vladimir Coufal fills in on the other side as the right-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Thilo Kehrer and Ben Johnson will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
James Ward-Prowse will anchor the midfield for the Hammers along with Edson Alvarez as they try to dominate the ball at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of Said Benrahma, Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen will function just ahead of them as part of West Ham’s attack.
Both Benrahma and Bowen will be responsible for stretching the Luton backline by getting in behind them at every chance they get.
Pablo Fornals will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if Moyes opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Michail Antonio will lead the line for West Ham in the final third. He managed to get his name on the scoresheet versus Brighton, so his confidence will be quite high going into this clash at Kenilworth Road.
Mohammed Kudus will be named on the bench as he looks to influence the game as a substitute in the final quarter of the contest if West Ham are in need of a goal by then.
