Everton will face off against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane this Saturday afternoon as they try to grind out a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Toffees managed to earn a narrow 2-1 win away at Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Cup which will give them some confidence ahead of this clash.
Sean Dyche will probably set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could make a few changes to his first XI for this game. Beto is expected to lead the line for Everton up top.
4-2-3-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Sheffield United
Defence
Jordan Pickford will operate in between the sticks for Everton after conceding one goal in his last outing. James Tarkowski will once again play alongside Ben Godfrey at the centre of Dyche’s defence as they try make life difficult for the opposition attackers throughout the 90 minutes.
Ashley Young will get a chance to impress as the left-back while Nathan Patterson hopes to give a good account of himself as the right-back. Dyche will ask both of them to keep things solid at the back and offer some decent service to the front players.
Michael Keane will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye will function as the holding midfielders as they focus on making life tough for the Blades at the centre of the park.
The talented trio of Arnaut Danjuma, Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Garner will play just ahead of them as part of Moyes’ attack. All three of them will have to link-up with each other well in the opponent’s half if Everton are to create enough chances to win this contest.
Tyler Onyango will make up the numbers on the bench as he waits for his chance to impress in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Beto could get a chance to lead the charge for the Merseyside club on the attacking end of the field. He would be eager to impress for Everton in the Premier League after sealing a move from Udinese recently.
Neal Maupay will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if the Toffees are in need of a goal by then.
