In a recent report, Sky Sport (via Goal) claimed that Real Madrid could make a move for Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic. It has been mentioned that Los Blancos are keen on bringing the Serbian talent to the Spanish capital during this summer transfer period.
Vlahovic’s Impressive Season In Serie A Football
Vlahovic was a decent performer for Juve in the final third as he put in a series of impressive displays for them in the previous campaign. The 23-year-old scored 14 times and secured four assists in 42 matches for the Turin outfit last season across all fronts.
The Serbian talent led the line well for the Italian club after he averaged 2.5 shots, 0.8 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per game in Serie A. However, he needs to work on improving his link-up play up top based on his pass completion rate of 72.1% in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
The Belgrad-born talent is under contract at Juventus until 2026. Thus, it won’t be easy for Los Blancos to arrange a deal to land Vlahovic this summer.
What Will Vlahovic Add To Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti’s Team?
Vlahovic is proficient at finding space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target. He can create some decent plays for others around him in the final third. However, the Serbian centre-forwrd has to work on improving his pass accuracy up top.
Vlahvoic will no doubt add more firepower to Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s attacking department. He might even help Los Blancos compete for some major honours over the next few years.
At 23, Vlahovic has his best years ahead of him which makes him a worthy target for Real Madrid to consider during this summer transfer period. He would also serve as a good, long-term successor to Karim Benzema at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
With all things considered, Vlahovic would be a great option for the Madrid club to pursue before the end of this transfer window. However, he might need some time to adapt to life in Spanish football if Ancelotti can find a way to get him on board soon.
