In a recent tweet, Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers claimed that Everton are still in the race for Almeria forward El Bilal Toure. However, it is understood that the Toffees are facing stiff competition from Atalanta in the race to land the Mali striker during this summer transfer window.

Toure’s Good Run Of Form In Spanish Football
Toure had a fruitful campaign at the Spanish club after he put in a few impressive displays as the spearhead of their attack. The Mali international managed to find the back of the net seven times and earn a couple of assists in 22 appearances for his current club last season across multiple competitions.
The 21-year-old led the line well on his own by averaging 1.4 shots and 0.7 key passes per 90 minutes in La Liga football. However, he has to work on improving his ball distribution up top as he has made 71.8% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top-flight (stats via whoscored).
Toure’s current deal at Almeria will expire in the summer of 2028. Thus, Everton would have to make a big offer if they are serious about signing the Mali talent in this off-season.
Should Everton Boss Sean Dyche Get Toure On Board?
Toure can find some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create a few decent chances in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball as well. The Mali sensation can use his strong 1.85m frame to win a few aerial duels as well in the opponent’s half. However, he needs to work on improving his link-up play up top.
We can expect Toure to bring more firepower to Everton boss Sean Dyche’s frontline. He has what it takes to rival Dominic Calvert-Lewin for a regular starting spot at Goodison Park next season.
At 21, Toure has the potential to become a world-class forward someday. Thus, he would be a great addition to the Merseyside club‘s squad for the long run. Toure might even help the Toffees steer clear of the relegation zone in the Premier League, so Dyche should focus on getting him on board before the start of the new season.
