Alberto’s Impressive Run Of Form In Brasileirao This Season
Alberto is enjoying a decent campaign at the Brazilian club as he has put in a series of impressive displays for them up top. The Brazilian sensation has featured in 37 matches for Corinthians this season, netting seven goals and grabbing seven assists in multiple competitions.
The 22-year-old has led the line well and deserves some credit averaging 1.9 shots, 0.5 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in Brasileirao. However, he has lacked quality when linking up play in the final third after making 72.3% of his attempted passes in the Brazilian top-flight (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Brazilian club will run out in 2027. Thus, the Toffees will have to make a sizable offer if they want to lure Alberto to Merseyside this summer.
What Will Alberto Bring To Everton?
Alberto is a technically gifted footballer who can strike the ball well from all ranges. The South American sensation can be a streaky goal-scorer in the final third and can set up some promising chances for his teammates up top. Alberto mainly functions as a centre-forward but can also fill in as a winger on either flank if asked to do so by his manager.
The Brazilian talent is also quite clever with his movements in and around the opponent’s penalty box. However, he might need time to settle into life in Premier League football if Everton manage to win the race for his services during this summer transfer period.
Alberto will bring more firepower to Everton boss Sean Dyche‘s attack. He might even help the Toffees stay out of relegation danger in the Premier League next season.
At 22, Alberto will only get better with each season which makes him an ideal choice for Everton to pursue in this off-season. However, Dyche will have to be patient with his progress if he wants to unlock the best out of the Brazilian youngster in the future.
