In a recent report, Correio do Povo mentioned that Arsenal are ready to make a move for Gremio midfielder Bitello this summer. It has been claimed that the Gunners are eyeing a move to bring the Brazilian talent to the Emirates Stadium in this ongoing transfer window.
Bitello’s Impressive Rise In Brazilian Football
Bitello came through the youth ranks of Gremio before establishing himself as a key member of their first team over the past couple of years. The 23-year-old has made 83 appearances for the Brazilian club thus far, scoring 16 times and picking up seven assists on all fronts.
The Brazilian sensation has caught the eye with his performances at the heart of Gremio’s midfield but it remains to be seen whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of English football if Arsenal manage to get a deal done for him this summer.
Bitello is under contract at the Brazilian club until the end of 2025. Hence, it won’t be easy for the Gunners to snap him up in this off-season.
What Will Bitello Add To Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta’s Team?
Bitello is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also function in the number ten position or play as a right-winger if told to do so. He is a technically gifted footballer who can shoot the ball with power from long range.
The Brazilian midfield ace has also got the vision to cut open the opponent’s defence with a killer pass in the final third. He is a good dribbler with the ball as well and would be a great fit for Mikel Arteta‘s style of play at Arsenal.
Bitello will add more goals and creativity to the North London club’s midfield and offer some serious competition for Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard for a regular starting spot at the Emirates Stadium next season.
At 23, the best is yet to come from Bitello as long as he continues to improve with each year. He has what it takes to help Arsenal compete across all competitions in the upcoming campaign. However, Arteta would have to be patient with his progress if he wants to unlock the best out of the player in the future.
