Mason Greenwood is an English footballer who played for Manchester United but the Mancunian club has recently suspended the youngster from all activities.
Greenwood was charged with sexual assault by the Greater Manchester Police in January 2022. He has since been released on bail and all charges have also been dropped. However, Man United are yet to lift their ban on the youngster who is prohibited from taking part in squad and training activities.
What Is Mason Greenwood Doing Currently?
Mason Greenwood is still under contract at the Mancunian Club until the summer of 2025. It is unlikely that he will return to playing football until next season.
For now, it is unclear what Greenwood is doing at the moment. However, he is not participating in any football-related activities with Man United as the club is still investigating the matter.
Greenwood has got 35 goals and 12 assists to his name in 129 matches during his time at Old Trafford.
When Can Mason Greenwood Play For Manchester United Again?
The Red Devils have not revealed a timescale for Greenwood’s return. He remains banned from taking part in the club’s squad and training activities and is not expected to be back until the start of next season.
After Greenwood was released on bail, Man United released an official statement that read,
“Manchester United notes the decision of the Crown Prosecution Service that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped.
“The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps. We will not make any further comment until that process is complete.”
The Mancunian club is currently conducting its own investigation but has not disclosed any details on when they will offer an update which has put the English wide player’s future at Old Trafford in doubt. He is under contract at Man United until the summer of 2025.
