In a recent report, Bild mentioned that Real Madrid starlet Sergio Arribas is gathering interest from Bundesliga. It is understood that a number of Bundesliga clubs including Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Eintracht Frankfurt are eyeing a move to sign the Spanish playmaker from Los Blancos this summer.
Arribas’ Impressive Rise At The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium
The 21-year-old has come through the youth ranks of Real Madrid before breaking out as a first-team starter recently. Arribas has scored one goal in 14 senior appearances for Los Blancos thus far across all fronts.
The Spanish prospect has caught the eye at times with his performances for Los Blancos in the final third. He has already shown what he is capable of in La Liga but has struggled to earn regular playing opportunities under the stewardship of Carlo Ancelotti.
His current deal at the Madrid club will run out in the summer of 2025. Thus, Ancelotti is under no pressure to cash in on him in this transfer window.
Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Let Arribas Go?
Arribas can engineer space for himself to get a few strikes in on target. He has got the vision to create some decent plays for others around him in the final third. The Spanish sensation is a good dribbler with the ball as well but needs to find a way to be more consistent in front of the opponent’s goal. At 21, the future looks quite promising for him as long as he continues to improve his all-around game with each season.
Arribas is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also operate as a wide player on either flank if asked to do so. However, he has failed to establish himself as a first-team starter at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium so far as he has often found himself behind Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Aurelien Tchouameni and Dani Ceballos in Real Madrid‘s pecking order.
Therefore, it is only fair to the player if Los Blancos allow him to leave so that he can earn more playing time away from the Madrid club. With all things considered, it makes sense for Ancelotti to let Arribas go before the end of this transfer window.
