Mane’s Recent Form At Bayern Munich This Season
Mane has experienced a difficult season at the Allianz Arena as he has struggled to be a consistent performer for the Bavarian club over the past ten months. The ex-Liverpool talent has found the back of the net 12 times and earned six assists in 38 appearances for the Munich outfit this season across multiple competitions.
The 31-year-old has shown what he is capable of at times in the final third based on his average of 2.2 shots, 1.0 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per game in Bundesliga. He has also distributed the ball relatively well as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 76.4% in the German top-flight (stats via whoscored).
His current deal with the Munich club is set to expire in 2025. Hence, Real Madrid will have to make a sizable offer if they want to recruit the Senegal international this summer.
Is Mane A Decent Option For Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti?
Mane remains a dangerous dribbler with the ball at his feet and can still create some inviting chances for others around him on the attacking third of the pitch. He can even strike the ball with power and precision from all ranges but needs to find a way to be more clinical in front of the opponent’s goal. The Senegal international mainly operates as a left-winger but can also play as a right-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if needed.
We can expect Mane to add more firepower to Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti‘s frontline. He would also be an upgrade over Eden Hazard who has struggled to prove his worth during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium so far.
At 31, Mane has still got a few good years left in him which makes him a decent, short-term option for Los Blancos to pursue this summer. However, only time will tell whether the Senegalese speedster can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga if Real Madrid manage to snap him up during this summer transfer period.
