Manchester United will face off against Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium on Thursday night as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Red Devils managed to secure a narrow 1-0 win over Aston Villa recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
Erik ten Hag will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first XI for this game. Both Antony and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will get a chance to impress from the start of this clash.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton
Defence
David de Gea will feature in between the sticks for the Mancunian side after keeping a clean sheet in his last league outing. Victor Lindelof will function alongside Luke Shaw at the centre of Man United’s defence as they try to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will operate as the right-back while Diogo Dalot hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Ten Hag will ask both of them to defend their lines well so that they can stop the Brighton wingers from causing too many problems out in the wide areas.
Tyrell Malacia will offer cover for the left-back position on the bench.
Midfield
Christian Eriksen and Casemiro will anchor the midfield for Man United as they try to make life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park.
The gifted trio of Jadon Sancho, Bruno Fernandes and Antony will play just ahead of them as part of the Man United attack. All three of them will have to link up play well in the opponent’s half if they want to create enough chances to win this contest at the Amex.
Fred and Marcel Sabitzer will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Marcus Rashford will lead the line for the Red Devils on the attacking end of the pitch. He failed to register a goal versus the Villans, so this game could be another chance for him to make a difference for Man United up top.
Wout Weghorst and Anthony Martial will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages if ten Hag opts to call upon their services.
