Firmino’s Decent Numbers At Merseyside This Season
Firmino has experienced a campaign of mixed emotions as he has produced some impressive displays for the Reds in the final third but has also missed a lot of key games for them over the past ten months. The Brazilian centre-forward has banged in 13 goals and picked up five assists in 35 matches for the Merseyside club this season across all competitions.
The 31-year-old has led the line well at times for Liverpool and deserves some credit for averaging 1.6 shots, 0.8 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has even been accurate with his ball distribution after making 79.9% of his attempted passes in the English top flight (stats via whoscored).
His current deal at Liverpool will expire soon, so Los Blancos could sign him on a free transfer when the transfer window commences later this year.
Is Firmino A Decent Choice For Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti?
Firmino is a technically gifted footballer who has won a lot of major trophies with Liverpool at the highest level. He can link up play really well with his teammates in the final third and can strike the ball purely and with venom from all ranges.
The Brazilian striker has got the quality to retain possession in tight spaces which makes him a great fit for Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti‘s brand of football.
We can expect Firmino to add more firepower to Los Blancos‘ frontline. He would also serve as a great backup to Karim Benzema at the Madrid club next season. Hence, Firmino would be a brilliant choice for Real Madrid to pursue this summer.
