Celtic will welcome Aberdeen at Celtic Park this Saturday afternoon as they hope to secure a good result at home in the Scottish Premiership. The Hoops suffered a heavy 4-2 defeat away at Hibernian recently, so they will be eager to bounce back by getting a win versus Aberdeen this weekend.
Angelos Postecoglou will opt for a 4-3-3 formation and could make a few tweaks to his first XI for this game. Kyogo Furuhashi is expected to lead the line for the Glaswegian giants in the final third while Oh Hyeon-gyu makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-3-3 Celtic Predicted Lineup To Face Aberdeen
Defence
Joe Hart will function in between the sticks for Celtic after being rested in midweek. Carl Starfelt will play alongside Yuki Kobayashi at the centre of Postecoglou’s defence as they hope to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Anthony Ralston will fill in as the right-back while Greg Taylor looks to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be given the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Andrei Bernabei will offer cover for the right-back position on the bench. However, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston remain Celtic’s only absentees for this game due to injuries.
Midfield
Reo Hatate, Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley will make up Celtic’s midfield as they try to dominate the ball at the centre of the park and engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Tomoki Iwata will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if Postecoglou opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Sead Hakšabanović will try to catch the eye on the left flank while Jota hopes to give a good account of himself as the right-sided wide player.
Kyogo Furuhashi will spearhead Celtic’s attack up top. He has to find a way to threaten the Aberdeen goal this Saturday afternoon.
Oh Hyeon-gyu and Liel Abada will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if the Hoops are in need of a goal by then.
