In a recent print edition, the Scottish Daily Mail (26 March 2023, back page) claimed that Celtic are keeping tabs on Lausanne Sport full-back Archie Brown. It has been mentioned that the Hoops are monitoring the progress of the English talent this summer.
Brown’s Impressive Rise In Swiss Football
Brown is having a decent campaign at Lausanne as he has put in a run of impressive performances on the left side of their attack. The 21-year-old has registered five goals and five assists in 36 matches for the Swiss outfit this season across all fronts.
The English talent has caught the eye with his performances on the left flank and could be a decent option for the Hoops to pursue in the long run.
His current contract at the Swiss club is set to run out in the summer of 2025. Thus, it won’t be easy for Celtic to land him on the cheap this summer.
Celtic Are Keeping Tabs On Brown: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Brown is having a great campaign in the second tier of Swiss football. He has caught the eye with his performances on the left flank. Brown is primarily a left-back but can also fill in as a central defender or as a left-sided winger if his manager asked him to do so.
The English youngster is a good defender at the back when he is playing with confidence and can make some clever runs with the ball as well. He can also create some decent chances for others around him in the final third and has a knack for scoring a few crucial goals for his side.
Brown will no doubt be an excellent signing for the Hoops this summer as he has the potential to become a future star at Celtic Park under the expert stewardship of Ange Postecoglou.
Brown is good enough to fight for a regular starting spot at the Glaswegian club next season. Hence, he will be a great option for the Scottish side to consider in the long run.
With all things considered, Brown is undeniably a prospect to watch out for in the future. Hence, Postecoglou should focus on getting him on board when the transfer window reopens later this year.
