On Tuesday night, the Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid will host an exciting Champions League semi-final as Real Madrid welcome Manchester City to the Spanish capital for the first leg. Los Blancos come into the match on the back of a splendid 2-1 victory over Osasuna in the Copa Del Rey final last weekend, which will keep them in high spirits.
Carlo Ancelotti will once again set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to keep the changes to a minimum. Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo would continue to lead the attack up front, while Thibaut Courtois operates in goal.

Defence
Thibaut Courtois will function in goal for Los Blancos after shipping in one goal in his last outing. David Alaba will operate alongside Antonio Rudiger at the centre of Real Madrid’s backline as they hope to keep the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the game.
Dani Carvajal will get a chance to impress as the right-back while Eduardo Camavinga fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will be instructed to make some adventurous runs out on the flanks.
Eder Militao will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Toni Kroos, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde will make up Real Madrid’s midfield as they focus on establishing their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if Los Blancos are to create enough chances to take an early lead in the first leg.
Aurelien Tchouameni will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Vinicius Jr. will get an opportunity to make a difference for Real Madrid on the right flank. Rodrygo will hope to give a good account of himself as the right-sided wide player.
Karim Benzema is expected lead the line again for the Madrid giants in the final third. The Frenchman has to carry most of the goal-scoring workload for Ancelotti’s side up top.
Mariano Diaz and Marco Asensio will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to catch the eye in the final quarter of the game if the Madrid outfit are in need of a goal by then.
