Real Madrid welcomed Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to grab all three points at home in La Liga. Los Blancos made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Marco Asensio finally scored the opening goal in the 70th minute as the contest finished 1-0 in favour of Carlo Ancelotti’s men.

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and was replaced at half-time.

The Spaniard showed some glimpses of what he is capable of but failed to make a difference in the final third.
CM: Aurelien Tchouameni – 8/10
Tchouameni anchored the midfield with conviction and had a lively game in the Getafe half.
CM: Eduardo Camavinga – 7/10
He caught the eye at times in both halves and got substituted in the 83rd minute.
RW: Federico Valverde – 6/10
Valverde struggled to get a foothold in the game and did well to last 60 minutes.
ST: Marco Asensio – 8/10
Asensio was a constant menace on the attacking end of the pitch and scored the only goal of the contest in the 70th minute.
LW: Eden Hazard – 6/10
He struggled to cause problems for the opposition defenders and put in an uninspiring performance tonight.
