Aston Villa will lock horns with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium this Tuesday night as they hope to earn a good result in the Premier League. The Villans managed to earn a 2-0 win away at Chelsea recently which will give them a lot of confidence ahead of this game.
Unai Emery will opt for a 4-4-2 formation and is expected to name an unchanged first team for this game. Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Buendia will once again lead the charge for the West Midlands club in the final third.
4-4-2 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup To Face Leicester City
Defence
Emiliano Buendia will operate in between the sticks for Aston Villa after producing a solid display versus the Blues in his last league outing. Ezri Konsa will continue to feature alongside Tyrone Mings at the centre of Emery’s defence as they focus on keeping the Leicester attackers at bay during the game.
Ashley Young will fill in as the right-back while Alex Moreno looks to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the opposition half.
Calum Chambers and Lucas Digne will be named on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Douglas Luiz and Boubacar Kamara will anchor the midfield for the Villans as they try to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. Both of them need to be at their best if Aston Villa are to come out on top at the King Power.
Jacob Ramsey will get a chance to catch the eye on the left flank while John McGinn hopes to put in another productive performance from the right.
Leander Dendoncker will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact as a second-half substitute if Emery opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Buendia will lead the line for the Villans on the attacking end of the field. Watkins was responsible for scoring the opening goal versus Chelsea, so his confidence will be sky-high ahead of this game.
Leon Bailey will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if needed.
