Everton will face Manchester United as they travel to Old Trafford on Saturday, hoping for a better result this weekend. The Toffees recorded a 1-1 stalemate against Tottenham Hotspur in their last outing, so they will be looking to perform better to earn all three points this time around.
Sean Dyche will probably opt for a 4-5-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to the starting XI. Ellis Simms should get the chance to play from the start as Demarai Gray drops to the bench.
4-5-1 Everton Predicted XI Vs Manchester United
Defence
Jordan Pickford will continue to feature between the sticks for Everton, hoping to keep a clean sheet after conceding one goal versus Tottenham in his last league outing. James Tarkowski will form the centre-half partnership with Michael Keane at the heart of Everton’s backline as they focus on keeping things tidy at the back throughout the game.
Seamus Coleman will try to put in a tireless display at the right-back position while Vitaliy Mykolenko fills in as the left-back. Both of them will have to defend their penalty box well to stop the opposition attackers from creating too many chances inside their halves.
Mason Holgate will be available for selection on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Amadou Onana, Idrissa Gueye and James Garner will anchor the midfield as they look to dominate possession in the central areas. All three of them will need to protect their backline away from home.
Dwight McNeil will keep his place on the left flank while Alex Iwobi looks to catch the eye as the right-sided wide player.
Tom Davies will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if needed.
Attack
Ellis Simms will spearhead Dyche’s attack on his own up top. He will have to find a way to cause a few headaches for the United defenders in the final third.
Demarai Gray should take a spot on the bench, waiting for his chance to shine in the second half.
