Mac Allister’s Impressive Form For Brighton This Season
Mac Allister is having a decent campaign at the American Express Community Stadium as he has put in a run of impressive displays at the heart of the Brighton midfield. The 24-year-old has found the back of the net on ten occasions and secured a couple of assists in 28 matches for the Seagulls this season across all fronts.
The Santa Rosa-born talent has proven himself to be a valuable performer at the centre of the park based on his average of 2.2 tackles, 0.9 interceptions, 2.5 shots, 1.1 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has even been excellent when distributing possession from midfield after making 87.8% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
His current deal at the Amex is set to run out in the summer of 2025. Therefore, Liverpool will have to launch a big offer if they want to win the race for Mac Allister in this off-season.
Should Liverpool Boss Jurgen Klopp Bring Mac Allister On Board?
Mac Allister is a tough-tackling midfielder who can make some timely interceptions for his team in the middle of the park. He has got the vision to engineer some decent chances for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom and accuracy from long range.
The Argentina international is a decent dribbler with the ball as well. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also fill in as a defensive midfielder or play in the number ten position if needed.
We can expect Mac Allister to add some much-needed quality to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp‘s midfield. He could even help the Reds challenge for some major honours over the next few years.
At 24, Mac Allister is about to enter his prime, so Klopp would be wise to bring him on board during the summer transfer period.
