West Ham United will clash heads with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon as they looked to secure a good result on the road. The Hammers suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Liverpool recently, so they will be eager to put in a much-improved showing versus the Eagles this weekend.
David Moyes will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make one change to his first XI for this game. Pablo Fornals will get a chance to impress from the start while Said Benrahma makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-3-3 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Crystal Palace
Defence
Lukasz Fabianski will feature in goal for the Hammers after shipping in a couple of goals in his last league outing. Nayef Aguerd will continue to play alongside Kurt Zouma at the centre of West Ham’s backline as they try to keep the home side at bay during the 90 minutes.
Vladimir Coufal will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Aaron Cresswell hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Moyes will ask both of them to work hard defensively so that they can limit the chances that the Eagles create from the wide areas.
Angelo Ogbonna and Thilo Kehrer will be named on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice and Lucas Paqueta will once again make up Moyes’ midfield as they try to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and create some decent goal-scoring chances on the counter.
Manuel Lanzini and Flynn Downes will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Pablo Fornals will probably get a chance to give a good account of himself on the left flank while Jarrod Bowen looks to put his pace to good use from the right.
Michail Antonio will once again lead the line for the East London club in the final third. He has to find a way to threaten the opponent’s goal this weekend.
Gianluca Scamacca will remain sidelined for this game as he continues to recover from a knee injury. However, Said Benrahma will be named on the bench and might come on in the latter stages if needed.
