Barcelona will entertain Real Madrid at the Nou Camp this Wednesday night as they look to earn a positive result at home in this Copa del Rey semi-final second-leg tie. The Catalan club will look to defend their 1-0 lead from the first leg and reach the final of the domestic cup competition.
Xavi will probably set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to name a strong team for this game. Sergio Busquets, Franck Kessie and Raphinha will all get a chance to play from the start of this clash for Barca.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Real Madrid
Defence
Marc-André ter Stegen will function in between the sticks for the Catalan club after securing a clean sheet in his last appearance. Marco Alonso will resume his defensive partnership with Ronald Araujo at the centre of Xavi’s defence as they try to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Jules Kounde will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Alejandro Balde hopes to put in a good showing on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would have to perform their defensive duties well so that they can restrict Los Blancos from creating too many chances from the flanks.
Eric Garcia will have to settle for a place on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Gavi, Sergio Busquets and Franck Kessie will make up Barca’s midfield this Wednesday night. All three of them need to focus all their energy on dominating the ball and making life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park.
Sergi Roberto will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if Xavi opts to call upon his services if needed.
Attack
Ansu Fati will operate as the left-sided wide player while Raphinha hopes to give a good account of himself on the right flank.
Robert Lewandowski will spearhead Barca’s attack in the final third. The Polish striker would be hungry to get his name on the scoresheet in this Clasico and make a difference for Barca in the final third.
