Arsenal will entertain Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium this Sunday as they try to secure a win in the Premier League. The Gunners suffered a disappointing loss at the hands of Sporting on penalties in the UEFA Europa League which has halted their momentum a little going into this league clash at home.
Mikel Arteta will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and could name a strong first XI for this London derby. Both Ben White and Kieran Tierney could get a chance to impress from the start of this contest.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup To Face Crystal Palace
Defence
Aaron Ramsdale will play in between the sticks for the Gunners as he hopes to earn a clean sheet in front of the Arsenal fans. Gabriel will function alongside Rob Holding at the heart of Arteta’s defence as they focus on stopping the Eagles from finding the back of the net during the 90 minutes.
Ben White could get a chance to catch the eye as the right-back while Kieran Tierney hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would need to be at their best if they want to create some decent chances in the Palace half.
Oleksandr Zinchenko will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard will make up Arteta’s midfield as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.
Odegaard has to be the one responsible for carrying most of Arsenal’s creative workload in the final third.
Jorginho and Fabio Vieira will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Gabriel Martinelli will try to catch the eye down the left flank after missing the decisive penalty in the shootout loss versus Sporting recently.
Bukayo Saka will hope to make a difference from the right while Leandro Trossard once again gets a chance to shine as Arsenal’s centre-forward up top.
Gabriel Jesus will be named on Arteta’s bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
