Manchester United entertained Real Betis at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League last 16 tie. The Red Devils made a quick start to the game and took the lead in the sixth-minute courtesy of Marcus Rashford’s goal. However, Ayoze Perez equalised for the visitors in the 32nd minute as both teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Erik ten Hag’s men ramped up the pressure in the second half and got their noses ahead once again in the 52nd minute via Antony’s effort. Bruno Fernandes made it 3-0 to Man United just six minutes later before Wout Weghorst put the icing on the cake by scoring his team’s fourth goal in the 82nd minute. The contest ended with Man United securing a dominant 4-0 win at the Theatre of Dreams.
